About Us
The Australian Maritime College Students' Association Incorporated manages the Seafarers Bar, the only entirely student-ran and -managed bar in Australia. Located in Launceston, Tasmania, we are proud to have operated in the Newnham community since the College’s founding 1980.
At the Australian Maritime College Student Association (AMCSA), we are committed to being an independent group, non-profit and apolitical; we are made up by students, run by students, and working on behalf of students at the Australian Maritime College (AMC). We are committed to represent and advocate for the student body, and involve students in all aspects of on-campus life. This extends to sporting activities, social events, cultural interactions and friendly gatherings.

The Committee
The bar doesn't unfortunately run itself. It takes a small team of dedicated people to make sure everything happens when it needs to. Each year the committee changes but familiar faces stay around. Come to the bar to meet the current committee and get to know them.
